Jennifer Budd, is an award winning recording artist “Lip Service” (2015), and celebrated vocal coach across the GTA, dedicated to telling important stories through music, drama, and dance. Budd began teaching vocals and piano 10 years ago, and remains actively involved in the music scene across North America. She is often praised for her equanimity and comfort level with her students, and for providing incredible vocal breakthroughs. Budd teaches beginner to Juno-award winning vocalists.

Professionally, as a performer Jennifer Budd has been working in music, film and television for the past 4 years as a singer, songwriter and actor represented by the Sam Edwin Agency. Budd released her debut album “Lip Service” in 2015, recorded at Threshold Studios (Hamilton, ON) and was independently managed until fall 2016 when Elias Dummer (The City Harmonic, Rockfirm) became her manager. Budd won “Best New Artist” in 2016 at the Hamilton Music Awards and was nominated for “Gospel Song of the Year” at the 2016 Canadian Gospel Music Awards. Presently, she travels between Nashville and Los Angeles working on her upcoming sophomore album.

Budd’s notable performances include The Hamilton Music Awards, Supercrawl Hamilton (Main Stage), Harmony Vocalist for The City Harmonic broadcasted on 100 Huntley Street, and opened for Jully Black at Mills Hardware (Hamilton, ON). As a recording artist, Jennifer Budd has performed on national television, opened for and collaborated with some of Canada and North America’s finest talent, and has been featured in local and national press – praised for her soulful sound and dynamic range.

In 2017, after recognizing a growing need in her community, Budd established Théma Arts Academy. Pulling together industry professionals, with whom Budd had admired and developed fruitful working relationships with, an academy was formed to provide arts education and mentorship to students in Hamilton, ON.
