Jeremy Voltz
Jeremy Voltz has been writing music, recording, and performing for 18 years throughout Canada, the U.S., and abroad. Known for his contemporary soul sound and huge voice, his songs bridge the gap between folk, rock, and soul. Growing up in Cleveland, Jeremy became a multi-instrumentalist and band-leader, first studying jazz drumming, then guitar, then piano, all the while honing the voice he is renowned for. Since moving to Toronto in 2007, Jeremy has immersed himself in the musical network of Toronto, from performing and collaborating with up and coming Canadian artists like Alysha Brilla, to sharing the bill with Canadian legends like April Wine.

Jeremy is a feature soloist for internationally-acclaimed vocal group “Countermeasure”, hot off a European tour, including a five-star sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe festival. With Countermeasure, he has performed numerous times at the Beaches Jazz Festival and the Sing! Toronto Vocal Arts Festival, and has shared the stage with Canadian superstars Corey Hart, Chantal Kreviazuk, Nikki Yanofsky, Glass Tiger, Matt Dusk, Kim Mitchell, and Blue Rodeo. He recently spent many hours in the studio working on Countermeasure's second album "Made to Measure", nominated for two Toronto Independent Music Awards.
Lucas Penner
Lucas Penner
Lucas Penner is a prolific songwriter. He lives on Queen Street West with mountains in his heart - recording in a closet. He's narrowing 30+ songs down to 10. He's reinventing himself as a solo artist after a stint of composing and music directing for theatre. He is an actor from the George Brown Theatre School. Lucas' music is vulnerable and fierce, wavering from soft declarations of love, to tantrum-like tirades from the rejected and cynical, and euphoric moments of peace, bliss and acceptance. He sounds like Kurt Weill and the Pixies had a swinging love affair with Cole Porter and gave the child to Fiona Apple and Jeff Buckley to raise, while Chris Isaak, Sarah McLachlan and Elliott Smith sang in the living room. Lucas is also the Artistic Director of the Dead and Lovely Collective which does new, dark pop/post punk musicals and is developing a show called Circles.
